John Robert King

Mr. John Robert King, 80, of Millry, AL passed from this life Saturday, September 5, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Millry, AL on Thursday, May 16, 1940 to John C. King and Letha R. King. Mr. King served in the United States Army National Guard. He was a member of New Bethel Holiness Church. He was retired as a self-employed farmer and will always be remembered for the years he operated J & D Grocery. Mr. King is preceded in death by his father, John C. King; mother, Letha R. King; brother, Johnny Mack King. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy L. King, Millry, AL; son, John Edward King (Michelle), Denham Springs, LA; daughter, Angela Renee "Ann" McCain (Steve), State Line, MS; 2 brothers, John Thomas King, Millry, AL; Richard King, Silas, AL; 2 sisters, Dora Lee Jones, Jean Beasley both of Millry, AL; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. King will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday, September 7, 2020 at New Bethel Holiness Church in Millry, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 7, 2020 at New Bethel Holiness Church in Millry, AL with Rev. Jojo Weaver and Rev. Jim Koen officiating. Interment will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Millry, AL.
