John Henry Stanard

Mr. John Henry Stanard, 85, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Sunday, June 21, 2020 at South Central Regional Medical Center. He was born in Port Arthur, TX on Thursday, January 10, 1935 to Charles L. Stanard and Lillian Stanard. He was a member of Chicora Baptist Church.  He had worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator at T. K. Stanley Inc. for 22 years. Mr. Stanard is preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Stanard; father, Charles L. Stanard; mother, Lillian Stanard; step-daughter, Sarah Caswell. He is survived by two daughters, Mona Henderson (Leon), Ellisville, MS, Patrice Stanard, Laurel, MS; step-son, Charles E. Peterson (Joy), Long Beach, MS; five granchildren, Dana McRee (Steven), Ellisville, MS, Jason Freeman (Karen), Ellisville, MS, Grace McAlpin, Ellisville, MS, Amanda Eckerle, Saucier, MS, Tabitha Caswell, Navarre, FL; nine great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Stanard will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Morris officiating. Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
