Jo Ann (Ivy) Palmer

Mrs. Jo Ann Palmer, 79, of Moss Point, MS passed from this life Sunday, November 19, 2023 at her residence. Our most precious, beautiful, amazing mother was born in Perry County, MS on Sunday, February 13, 1944 to James  Ivy and Eva Odom Ivy. She graduated from Clara High School. She married the love of her life, M. L. Palmer, Jr. They had three beautiful children, Rhonda, Pam and Cynthia. She retired from Pascagoula School District as a Teacher Assistant. She enjoyed going to church and attending gospel sings. She was a member of Magnolia Springs Assembly of God.

In her spare time she loved going shopping and out to eat with all her girls. Her most favorite spare time was spending time with her family.

Mrs. Jo Ann is preceded in death by her husband, M. L. Palmer, Jr.; father, James T. Ivy and mother, Eva Ivy. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Baria (Gary), Moss Point, MS, Pam Stringfellow (Robert), Lucedale, MS, Cynthia Bazzone (Dan), Moss Point, MS; brothers, Jerry Ivy (Betty), Moss Point, MS, James H. Ivy (Wanda), Ocean Springs, MS; sisters, Betty Jo Dykes (J. W.), Richton, MS, Judy Clark (Mark), Laurel, MS, Debbie Miller (George), Waynesboro, MS; 7 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild due in December. 

Visitation for Mrs. Jo Ann will be held from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Corinth Free Will Baptist Church, 2426 Camp Eight Road, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be follow at 2:30 PM Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Corinth Church with Rev. Steven Ray Perry officiating. Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery. Pallbearers are Hunter Bazzone, Cody Colburn, William Hicks, Jansen Whitley, Brody Holland, Jamison Holland, Juan Davis, Michael Hudson.
