James Lee Watkins

Mr. James Lee Watkins, 78, of Shubuta, MS passed from this life Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at H. C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman, MS. He was born in Isney, AL on Thursday, July 31, 1941 to John Ewart Watkins and Bessie Watkins. He was a member of Eucutta Independent Church. He had worked at Ramey's Market Place.  Mr. Watkins is preceded in death by his father; John Ewart Watkins and mother; Bessie Lewis Watkins; brother; Jerry Pete Watkins; 2 sisters, Betty Ann Irby and Bobbie Jean Odom. He is survived by his wife; Juanell Watkins; 2 sons, Austin Watkins (Wanda), Bolinger, AL,  Andy Watkins (Cindy), Pensacola, FL; daughter; Jenni Mosley (Johnny), Shubuta, MS; brother, Billy Dale Watkins, Lugoff, SC; 6 grandchildren, Sabrina Watkins Lovette (Nick), Ryan Watkins, Heath Mosley, Seth Mosley, Elizabeth Abshire, Brandi Thornton. Visitation for Mr. Watkins will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Pruitt and Rev. Jesse Griffith officiating. Interment will be in Springbank Cemetery in Silas, AL.
