James Harold Waite

   Mr. James Harold Waite, 78, of Millry, AL passed from this life Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Southern Living Specialty Care Residency in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Red Creek, AL on Friday, July 18, 1947, to the late Frank and Bernice Waite. He was a member of Millry Baptist Church. He retired as a maintenance electrician at Ciba-Geigy Corporation.

   Harold was a man of many words at times and sometimes few, but you never had to wonder where he stood on an issue. He stood for what he believed was right. He loved being outdoors on his tractor taking care of his land and trees. He was a hardworking man, always busy in his shop working on some project. He loved all sports, but Alabama football was his passion. He will probably be fondly remembered as #22 on the Millry High School Football team. He also loved to travel and see the country, but most of all he loved Jesus, his family and friends! He dearly loved and treasured each minute he got to spend with them. He was so proud to be Pop to Jake Paul, Anthony, Joy, Holly, Mary Koen, Felecia and Coulson Wayne.

  Harold is preceded in death by parents, Frank and Bernice Waite; two sons, Bryan and Brandon Waite; daughter, Robin Waite Antuofermo; two sisters, Diane Tate and Myron Dearmon. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Dr. Barbara Waite of Millry, AL; two brothers, Wilson Waite (Lavone) of Millry, AL and Winston Waite (Peggy) of Chatom, AL; two sisters, Carol Walker (Wayne) of Fairhope, AL and Katie Ferguson (Jimmy), Chatom, AL; a host of nieces and nephews.

   Visitation for Mr. Waite will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday, December 8, 2025, at Millry Baptist Church in Millry, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 8, 2025, at Millry Baptist Church in Millry, AL with Dr. Randy Billingsley and Woody Singley officiating. Interment will be in Kimbrough Cemetery in Millry, AL.
