Mrs. Ida Katherine West, age 90, a resident of Laurel, MS, died Monday, June 15, 2009, at her residence on Poole Creek Road. Mrs. West was a Home Maker. She is preceded in death by her Father, Edward Mercer and Mother, Bessie Mercer; Husband, Roy West; Son, Samuel Wayne West; Brother, Thomas Mercer; Two Sisters, Virgie Lee McLain and Mildred Hodge. She is survived by a Sister, Mattie Lee Parker, Heidelberg, MS; and Several Nieces and Nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 16, 2009 @ Freeman Parlor. Funeral service will be at the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 17, 2009, Rev. Pat Patterson officiating. Interment will be at West Shady Grove Cemetery, Wayne Co., MS
