Mrs. Ida Fay Burton, 71, a resident of Buckatunna, MS, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Wayne County on Sunday, August 16, 1942 to Ellis Ray Beasley and Sadie Marcella Beasley. She was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church and was a Homemaker. Mrs. Burton is preceded in death by her parents, Ellis Ray Beasley and Sadie Marcella Beasley; and sister, Jeanie West. She is survived by her husband, James R. Burton of Buckatunna; son, James Stephen Burton (Cathi) of Chatom, AL; 4 daughters, Teresa K. Sullivan (Timothy), Deneen Becton (Paul), Lisa Fay Burton, all of Millry, Heather Roberts (Michael) of Waynesboro; 3 brothers, Rodney Beasley, James Earl Beasley, Gary Wayne Beasley, all of Buckatunna; 12 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. Visitation for Mrs. Burton will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, April 3, 2014 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro with Rev. Herbert Collier and Rev. Marvin Griffin officiating. Interment will be in Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Waynesboro.
