Mr. Hubert S. Holyfield, 93, of Millry, AL passed from this life Friday, October 9, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Choctaw County, AL on Friday, December 17, 1926 to Jessie Stephen Holyfield and Lillian Pearl Morris Holyfield. He was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. He was retired as a Self-Employed Carpenter. Mr. Holyfield is preceded in death by his father, Jessie Stephen Holyfield; mother, Lillian Pearl Holyfield; son, Lamar Holyfield; son-in-law, Elvis Grimes; 6 brothers, Gavin Holyfield, Tommy Gene Holyfield, Rex Holyfield, Sam Holyfield, Grover Holyfield, Ernest "Pocket" Holyfield. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Viola Holyfield, Aquilla, AL; 2 sons, Buddy Holyfield, Aquilla, AL, Dale Holyfield (Kay), Millry, AL; daughter, Elaine Grimes, Aquilla, AL; daughter-in-law, Susan Holyfield, Aquilla, AL; 3 bothers, Rob Lee Holyfield, Michigan, Gilmore Holyfield, Aquilla, AL, Roy Holyfield, Chicora, MS; sister, Joyce Whigham, Aquilla, AL; 11 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Holyfield will be held from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Millry, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Millry, AL with Rev. Mike Chatham officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Millry, AL. Masks and Social Distancing are required of those in attendance.
