Grady Parnell

Mr. Grady Parnell, 81, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Monday, February 2, 1942, to the late Dan and Alice Parnell. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Parnell retired from the United States Army after serving 21 years. He later retired a second time after working for another 23 years with the Mississippi State Forestry. Mr. Parnell is preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Alice Parnell; daughter, Alicia Parnell; brother, Gary Parnell; four sisters, Doris Bunch, Janice Pippen, Peggy Mozingo, Shelia Stuart. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Chun "Kim" Parnell of Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Tonya Brueggemann (Kurt) of Cincinnati, OH; brother, Terry Parnell; sister, Frances James (Ronnie), both of Waynesboro, MS; two granddaughters, Eloise and Hazel Brueggemann of Cincinnati, OH; Sister-In-Law, Yong Green (Joseph); nephew, Adam Doup (Megan), both of Findlay, OH; a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Parnell will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Phillip Gandy officiating. Interment will be in Waynesboro Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
