Gladys "Betty" (Wright) Jones

Mrs. Gladys "Betty" Jones, 90, of Vinegar Bend, AL passed from this life Thursday, May 11, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Salisbury, MD on Saturday, July 2, 1932 to the late Garland Lee Wright and Viola Wright. She retired from the Alabama Forestry Commission as a Fire Watcher. Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Jones; father, Garland Lee Wright; mother, Viola Wright; son, Aubrey Garland Jones, Sr.; brother, William Wright. She is survived by her son, Jeff Jones (Sara) of Vinegar Bend, AL; three daughters, Leila Ann Riles of New Port, AL, Linda Strickland of Waynesboro, MS, Dianna Walker of Grand Bay, AL; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Jones will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Burbank Pentecostal Church in Vinegar Bend, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Burbank Pentecostal Church in Vinegar Bend, AL with Rev. James Bice and Bro. Jacob Jones officiating. Interment will be in Burbank Pentecostal Cemetery in Vinegar Bend, AL.
