He was born in Mobile, AL on Thursday, February 12, 1981, to James Monroe "Jimmy" Bonner, III and Lorrie Ann Harvison Bonner. He worked as a Mechanic at Tate's Tire Service in Chatom, AL. Gaines Ray is preceded in death by his mother, Lorrie Ann Bonner. He is survived by his father, James M. "Jimmy" Bonner, III of Chatom, AL; two daughters, Savana "Boo" Bonner (Cad Carter), Brianna "Baby Girl" Bonner both of Saint Stephens, AL; two sisters, Tiffany Byrd (Vic), Shay Rivers (Michael Loper) both of Chatom, AL; granddaughter, Aniyah Carter of Saint Stephens, AL; grandmother, Margaret Stoker, Chatom, AL; three aunts, Betty Chapman (Randy) of Chatom, AL, Judy Mozingo (Dale) of Thomasville, AL, Donna McCantis (Donnie) of Ward, AL; four nieces, Lorrie Byrd, Bailey Chapman, Victoria Byrd, Elena Loper all of Chatom, AL; mother of children, Joy Bonner of Saint Stephens, AL; two special friends, Brandy Wynn of Frankville, AL, Larry Williams(Sadie) of Chatom, AL; a host of cousins and other relatives; beloved family pet, Missy. Visitation for Gaines Ray will be held from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Chatom Church of God Cemetery in Chatom, AL. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Chatom Church of God Cemetery in Chatom, AL with Rev. Mike Loper officiating. Interment will be in Chatom Church of God Cemetery in Chatom, AL. Pallbearers are Dillon Morgan, Randy Chapman, Michael Loper, Josh Hopkins, James Hopkins, and Dexter Byrd.
