Evelyn Marie Ross Dyess

Mrs. Evelyn Marie Ross Dyess, 78, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Friday, September 25, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Choctaw County, AL on Sunday, May 10, 1942 to Charlie Ross and Willie Mae Giles Ross Henderson. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She was retired from the State of Mississippi Forestry Commission as a Crew Leader. Mrs. Dyess is preceded in death by her father, Charlie Ross; mother, Willie Mae Henderson. She is survived by 2 sons, Hilry "Bunk" Dyess (Wanda), Richton, MS, Joe Dyess (Teresa), Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Sonya "Punk" Dyess, Waynesboro, MS; 2 god sisters, Werdia Smith, Waynesboro, MS, Carol Brown, Hattiesburg, MS; 6 grandchildren, Colby Dyess, Kyle Dyess, Wesley Dyess, Ross Dyess, Brandon Dyess, Nikki Freeman; a host of great grandchildren. Graveside Service for Mrs. Dyess will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Millry, AL with Bro. Fred Andrews officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Millry, AL.
