Elvis Lynn "The King" Grimes

Mr. Elvis Lynn "The King" Grimes, 63, of Millry, AL passed from this life Friday, February 28, 2020 at Providence Hospital under the care of Covenant Care Hospice in Mobile, AL surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, April 14, 1956 to Daniel Grimes, Jr. and Helen Eunice Dearmon Grimes. He was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. He was retired from Millry Communications and worked at his family business, Aquilla Grocery, with his loving wife and daughters. Elvis loved his beautiful wife, daughters, sons-in-law’s, and especially his grandchildren. He loved to serve his community and was willing to support any of the children’s programs by sponsoring many through the years. Elvis would light a room up with his contagious smile and laughter. He enjoyed traveling with his family, and anyone that knew him would say he loved to take many pictures to cherish the memories that were made. Mr. Grimes is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Grimes, Jr.; mother, Helen Eunice Grimes; 2 grandchildren, Christian and "Angel Baby". He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Elaine Grimes, Millry, AL; 2 daughters, April Elaine Beech (Jeremy "PNut"), Crystal Lynn Beasley (Johnny) both of Millry, AL; brother, Jonathan Grimes (Connie), Waynesboro, MS; sister, Brenda Hebert, Opelousas, LA; 5 grandchildren, Ty Beasley, Colyn Beech, Hayden Beasley, Jacob Beech, Lillian Paige Beech all of Millry, AL; a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Grimes will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Millry, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Millry, AL with Rev. Mike Chatham and Rev. Jim Koen officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Millry, AL.
