Mrs. Elaine Green, 83, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Saturday, September 25, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Waynesboro on Friday, May 20, 1938 to William Earl Reynolds, Sr. and Willie V. Reynolds. She was a member of Waynesboro First United Methodist Church. She had worked as an Insurance Administrator at First State Bank. Mrs. Elaine is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Frasier Green; father, William Earl Reynolds, Sr.; mother, Willie V. Reynolds; brother, William Reynolds, Jr.; sister, Betty May. She is survived by her son, James J. Green (Jada), Waynesboro, MS; grandson, Jayce Green, Hattiesburg, MS; granddaughter, Dr. Alyse Green (Tyler Blackwell), Meridian, MS; great grandson, Knox Green; great granddaughter, Kadence Green, both of Hattiesburg, MS; a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Elaine will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Waynesboro First United Methodist Church, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Waynesboro First United Methodist Church with Dr. Steven Bruns and Jayce Green officiating. Interment will be in Waynesboro Cemetery.

First off, her First State Bank family, she adored you all over her 44 year career; Her Book Club, she loved her time with you; First Baptist Church Waynesboro, for the countless Senior Trips, First United Methodist Church Waynesboro for a lifetime of community and fellowship; Waynesboro-Wayne County Library, she loved volunteering there; Bobo Smith, you never failed to call or come by on her birthday and she loved you for that; Jada Green for helping take such good care of her; Angel Green, for being there when we needed your help most; Sandra Turnipseed, you were so special to her; D’Lee Hutchison and Kristy Green for always making sure she could stay connected to you and the kids no matter the circumstances; Cathy Shelton, we cannot count the trips you two made to Hattiesburg just simply taking care of each other; and finally, Shirley Giles, there are no words that can emphasize what mean to our family. “Aunt” Shirley you have been there every step of the way as her friend, caretaker, meal pal, road warrior, encourager, etc. Memaw so adored your time together.
