Doris LaFaye Mills Baygents

Mrs. Doris LaFaye Mills Baygents, 78, of Newnan, GA passed from this life Sunday, October 3, 2021. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, June 19, 1943 to Cecil Clinton Mills and Leona Cochran Mills. Prior to moving to Newnan in 2015, Mrs. Doris lived in Hattiesburg, MS. She was a member of Richburg Baptist Church. She was a Beautician for 45 years before retirement. She served the special needs community in Hattiesburg by volunteering with Special Olympics, the local adult population, and The Abbie Rogers Civitan Camp for many years. Mrs. Doris is preceded in death by her husband of 43 Years, Larry Evans Baygents; father, Cecil Clinton Mills; mother, Leona Cochran Mills; daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Baygents; two brothers, Craig Mills (Sue), Walton Gray "Budgie" Mills (Virginia). She is survived by her two daughters, Denine Baygents Briggs (Steve), Britney LaFaye Krog, both of Newnan, GA; two brothers, Kenny Mills (Carolyn), Clara, MS, Tommy Mills (Diane), Kingsville, OH; five grandchildren that were her greatest joy, Evan Briggs (Melissa), Canton, GA, Mills Briggs, Sophie Briggs, Jeb Briggs, Lauren Krog, all of Newnan, GA; several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Doris will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Big Creek Baptist Church, Waynesboro, MS. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Big Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Roney officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery.
