Mr. Clinton J. Cooley, 74, a resident of Wayne County, MS passed from this life on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Wayne County on Sunday, April 12, 1942 to Mr. Columbus Cooley and Mrs. Estelle Cooley. He was retired as a truck driver. Mr. Cooley is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Cooley; mother, Estelle Cooley; father, Columbus Cooley; son, Ashley Jerone Cooley. He is survived by 2 sons, Rev. Randy Cooley (Renee), Rev. Michael Cooley (Sunnja) both of Waynesboro; 2 daughters, Melissa Cooley, Angela Ainsworth (Earl) both of Richton; brother, Clifford Cooley (Minnie) of Waynesboro; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Cooley will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, December 16, 2016 in the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, December 17, 2016 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro with Rev. Randy Cooley, Rev. Michael Cooley, Rev. Aaron Cooley, and Rev. L. C. Cochran officiating. Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery in Wayne County.
