Carletta R. Dunn

Mrs. Carletta R. Dunn, 81, of Yellow Pine, AL passed from this life Friday, July 9, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Yellow Pine on Friday, June 7, 1940 to Johnny Cartwright and Sara Cartwright. She was a lifelong member of Yellow Pine Baptist Church. She retired after serving 23 years as the Postmaster for the United States Postal Service in both Yellow Pine and Fruitdale. Mrs. Carletta is preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd S. Dunn; second husband, Blanton Turner; father, Johnny Cartwright; mother, Sara Cartwright; two sons, Glen Dunn, Clifton Dunn; brother, Rueben Cartwright; sister, Hazel Annette Cartwright; grandson, James Dunn. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Dunn (Carol), Dr. Kevin Dunn (Davida), both of Yellow Pine, AL; two daughters, Barbara Kirby (Kenneth), Yellow Pine, AL, Susan Hill, Citronelle, AL; Daughter-In-Law, Debra Dunn, State Line, MS; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; special friend, Martha Williams, Fruitdale, AL. Visitation for Mrs. Carletta will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Yellow Pine Baptist Church, Yellow Pine, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Yellow Pine Baptist Church with Rev. Wade Turner officiating. Interment will be in Milstead Cemetery in Yellow Pine, AL.
