Betty Joan McRae

Mrs. Betty Joan McRae, 89, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Monday, January 18, 2021 at Brookwood Villa Personal Care Home. She was born in Waynesboro on Thursday, December 24, 1931 to Roy W. Moody and Effie Covington Moody. She was a member of Waynesboro First Baptist Church. She had worked as a Retail Associate at Walmart for 25 1/2 years and was also a Mary Kay Cosmetic Consultant. Mrs. McRae is preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. McRae; father, Roy W. Moody; mother, Effie Covington Moody; son, Charles Larry McRae. She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Ann Adkins (Richard), Carol Sue Windham, both of Waynesboro, MS; five grandchildren, Karen Fincham, Daphne, AL, Larry Windham, Caledonia, MS, Brian Windham, Atlanta, GA, Mark West, Waynesboro, MS, Angie Theriot, Perkinston, MS; six great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. Graveside Services for Mrs. McRae will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Dr. Steve Smith officiating. Pallbearers are Larry Windham, Brian Windham, Mark West, Kevin Fincham, Kyle Carag, Richard Adkins.
