Audrey Nell Murphy

Mrs. Audrey Nell Murphy, 90, of Aquilla, AL passed from this life Monday, October 25, 2021, at her residence. She was born in Choctaw County, AL on Thursday, August 20, 1931, to Floyd Odell Toomey and Maggie Edmonds Toomey. She was a member of Aquilla United Methodist Church. Mrs. Murphy is preceded in death by her husband, Roy N. Murphy, Sr.; father, Floyd Odell Toomey; mother, Maggie Edmonds Toomey; son, Roy N. "Pete" Murphy, Jr.; two brothers, Bruce Toomey, Odell Toomey; sister, Emma Jean Mosley. She is survived by her two daughters, Loucinda "Cindy" Thompson of Hemet, CA, Nellie M. Smith (Phil) of Bucks, AL; two sons, James C. Murphy (Donna) of Aquilla, AL, Floyd A. Murphy (Wanda) of Tillman’s Corner, AL; two brothers, T. P. Toomey (Sue), David Toomey (Lillie Mae) both of Saraland, AL; sister-in-law, Mae Helen Toomey of Saraland, AL; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Murphy will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Friday, October 29, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 29, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Michael Gunn officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Choctaw County, AL. Pallbearers are Jerry Wayne Toomey, Curtis Toomey, Ronnie Toomey, Jerry Dean Touchstone, Scottie Lucas, and Mark Hester.
