Mrs. Ann Holifield, 75, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, June 29, 1946 to Joe and Catherine Davis. She was a member of Red Creek Church of God. Mrs. Holifield is preceded in death by her first husband of 45 years, James Holifield; father, Joe Davis; mother, Catherine Davis; two brothers, Rayborn Davis, Dannis Davis; two grandsons, Brooks Morris, Tyler Lucas. She is survived by her husband, Sim Holifield, Buckatunna, MS; daughter, Sherry Lucas (John), Chunky, MS; sister, Kathleen Waites, Waynesboro, MS; two granddaughters, Sheree Farmer (Ryan), Preston, MS, Lauren Smith (Eliot), Meridian, MS; three great granddaughters, Lilly Farmer, Preston, MS, Ainsley Brooke Smith, Meridian, MS, Lena Lucas, Yazoo City, MS; four great grandsons, Kyler Farmer, Kannon Farmer both of Preston, MS, Rhett Smith, Ryder Smith both of Meridian, MS. Visitation for Mrs. Holifield will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, December 31, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Steve Watts, Rev. Donald R. Suggs, and Rev. Ryan Farmer officiating. Interment will be in Archusa Memorial Gardens, 3272 Highway 145 N, Quitman, MS.
