Mrs. Zella Faye Jordan McRae, 83, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Friday, July 9, 2021 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones who plan to continue to honor her life by living their lives to the fullest.

Faye was born in Wayne County on Sunday, February 6, 1938 to Otis Clinton Jordan and Gaddis Suzanne Jordan. She was a member of Philadelphus Presbyterian Church. Faye met Jack McRae in 1959 while waiting tables at McIlwain Café in Waynesboro and married 62 years ago on July 9, 1959.

Faye loved people and exhibited joy and optimism to friends, family, and anyone she met. Her most favorite hobby was gathering with family and friends.

Faye is preceded in death by her parents, Gaddis and Otis Jordan, and her sons Robert Keith and Riley Duane. She is survived by her husband, John Warren "Jack" McRae; her children Rita (JR), John Mark (Staci), Shellie (Mark); multiple grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The family will celebrate Faye with a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Philadelphus Presbyterian Church, 133 Big Rock Road, Waynesboro, MS with Dr. Robert A. McRae and Rev. Philip McRae officiating.
