Mr. Yancy Hugh Taylor, 81, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, August 29, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, February 6, 1943, to the late Vernon and Ena Taylor. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He retired as a Market Supervisor at Ramey's.

Mr. Taylor is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Ena Taylor; daughter, Shelly Taylor Mills; brother, James Vernon "Jimmy" Taylor, Jr.; sister, Ruby Nell Taylor Lynn; half brother, Raymond Singley. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Mary Taylor of Waynesboro, MS; son, Greg Taylor (Ladean) of Bossier City, LA; five step sons, Stephen Malone (Sabrina) of Laurel, MS, Harold Malone (Shirley) of Richton, MS, Corey Malone (Shanna) of Morgan City, LA, Ron Malone (Liz) of Leesburg, VA, and Chris Malone of Gautier, MS; two brothers, Gary Lynn Taylor (Regina) of Saraland, AL and Ellery Taylor (Patty) of Gulf Shores, AL; three grandchildren, Ericka Taylor Thomas, Derek Taylor (Claire), and Haley Mills Waller; 15 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 16 step great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; Son-In-Law, Duane Mills (Shelia).

Visitation for Mr. Taylor will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Drew Holifield and Rev. Kenny Morris officiating. Interment will be in Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
