Mr. Woodrow "Woody" Strickland, Jr., 64, of Laurel, MS passed from this life Saturday, March 29, 2025, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. He was born in Mobile, AL on Tuesday, July 5, 1960, to Woodrow Strickland, Sr. and Monnie Rae Strickland. He was a member of Strengthford Baptist Church. He worked as a Truck Driver/Spotter at Billy Barnes Enterprises.

Mr. Strickland is preceded in death by his mother, Monnie Rae Strickland. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Twana Strickland of Strengthford, MS; father, Woodrow Strickland, Sr. of Mobile, AL; son, Daniel Strickland (Jenna) of Mobile, AL; two daughters, Rachael Munger (Alan) of Dallas, GA and Loren Mills (Breck) of Clara, MS; brother, Stanley Strickland (Sandra) of Idaho; sister, Monica Butler (Neal) of Mobile, AL; seven grandchildren, Jase Mills, Dawson Mills, Jonah Munger, Noah Munger, Aslan Munger, Russel Strickland, and Henry Strickland; a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Strickland will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Robert Boutwell officiating. Interment will be in Strengthford Baptist Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
