Mrs. Wilma R. Cherry, 81, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Saturday, October 14, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Sunday, May 17, 1942, to the late Burel and Etta Mae Henderson. She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Cherry is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Cherry; parents, Burel and Etta Mae Henderson; son, Bobby Joe Cherry, Jr.; granddaughter, Alicia Schoppe. She is survived by her son, Bruce Cherry of Cleburne, TX; daughter, Bronwynn Roberts (Billy) of Mount Olive, MS; brother, Burel Henderson of Waynesboro, MS; five grandchildren, Devin Cherry (Emily), Austin Cherry (Morgan), Garrett Stevison, all of Waynesboro, MS, Aaron Cherry of Boyce, LA, Wesley Roberts of Mount Olive, MS; four great grandchildren, Mariah Votaw, Garner Schoppe, Leo Cherry, and Aubrie Evans. Visitation for Mrs. Cherry will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Big Creek Baptist Church, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Big Creek Baptist Church in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Franklin McLelland, Rev. Drew Holifield, and Rev. Matt Olson officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
