Rev. William Thurston Harris, Sr., 75, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Friday, March 4, 2022 at his home. He was born in Waynesboro on Thursday, May 30, 1946 to Willis Preston Harris and Erma Harris. He was a member of Tabernacle Holiness Church. He had worked as a Self-employed Carpenter and was a Minister. He served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam Era. Rev. Harris is preceded in death by his father, Willis Preston Harris and mother, Erma Harris; three brothers; five sisters. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Harris, Buckatunna, MS; son, William Thurston Harris, Buckatunna, MS, two daughters, Kimberly Delmas (Mike), Stephanie McCary (George), both of Buckatunna, MS; brother, Preston Harris (Judy), Mobile, AL; two sisters, Elzada  Rawson, Ruth Kendrick, both of Waynesboro, MS; nine grandchildren, Kyle Savage (Chelsa), Kolby Savage (Danielle), Tori Harvison (Kae-Cee), Lexi Sullivan (Seth), Austin Delmas, Brent Kirkland (Heather), Shea Whigham (Ty), Brett McCary (Bailey), Taylor McCary; nine great grandchildren; special nephew, John Murray; special niece, Angelia Atchison. Visitation for Rev. Harris will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 7, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Daugherty, Rev. Jake Robinson, Rev. Jim Koen officiating. Interment will be in Lewis Chapel Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS.
