Mr. William Waynon Harris, 89, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Buckatunna, MS on Sunday, July 5, 1936, to the late William A. Harris and Donnie Harris. He was a member of Chicora Baptist Church. Mr. Harris served in the United States Army National Guard. He retired as a maintenance supervisor at Wells Lamont. Mr. Harris is preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Donnie Harris; brother, Samuel Harris; three sisters, Annie Dean Bonner, Osteen Crane, Cassie Bee Bonner. He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Evon Harris; son, Ricky Wayne Harris (Michele), all of Buckatunna, MS; two grandsons, Jeremy Wayne Harris and Jarod Kyle Harris (Jaimie); three great grandchildren, Jeremy Cole Harris (Kady), Emma Grace Harris, and Karson Harris; step grandson, Jared Loper (Baili). Visitation for Mr. Harris will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Michael Beckwith and Chaz Crane officiating. Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
