Dr. William Charles "Bill" Todd, 91, of Silas, AL passed from this life Thursday, July 4, 2024, at his daughter's residence in Alexandria, LA. He was born in Tarrant, AL on Wednesday, December 7, 1932, to the late Roy C. Todd, Sr. and Mary Dee (Jones) Todd. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Isney Baptist Church. Dr. Todd received his BS, MS, and EdD from the University of Alabama. He retired in 1996 after 27 years as a professor at Louisiana College and was later awarded the title Professor Emeritus. In 2006 he was asked to return to Louisiana College where he taught for 10 more years, retiring in 2016 at the age of 84. Dr. Todd is preceded in death by his wife, Totsy Becton Todd; parents, Roy C. Todd, Sr. and Mary Dee (Jones) Todd; brother, Roy C. Todd, Jr.; two sisters, Faye Todd Thomas, Doris Todd Webster. He is survived by his three daughters, Pamela Ann Todd of Pineville, LA, Tylitha Todd Whatley (Glen) of Dry Prong, LA, Amanda Todd Kenimer (Jeff) of Alexandria, LA; five grandchildren, Todd Whatley (Becca), Mattie Crump (Jake), Hannah Kenimer, Belle Kenimer, and Asher Kenimer; two great grandchildren, Presley Kenimer and Cypress Crump. Visitation for Dr. Todd will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Isney Baptist Church, Silas, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Isney Baptist Church in Silas, AL with Rev. David Roberson and Rev. Fred Toomey conducting services. Interment will be in Isney Cemetery in Silas, AL. Pallbearers are Bret Becton, Thad Becton, Nelson Toomey, Leroy Ladner, Ronnie Mason, and Robert Moody.
