Mr. Wesley "Rusty" Turner "Big Grasshopper", 69, of State Line, MS passed from this life Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Laurel, MS on Thursday, August 4, 1955, to the late Boykin Turner and Hazel Bernice Allday. He worked as a self-employed Truck Driver. Mr. Turner is preceded in death by his father, Boykin Turner; mother, Hazel Bernice Allday; stepfather, Lamar Allday. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Dana Turner of State Line, MS; three sons, Chris Turner (Nelda) of Chicora, MS, Boykin Turner (Kellie) of Leakesville, MS, and Cole Turner of State Line, MS; daughter, Connie Brewer (Heath) of State Line, MS; stepson, Andrew Payton (Bree) of Las Vegas, NV; stepdaughter, Tessa Walley of Clara, MS; sister, Susie Timothy (Gator) of State Line, MS; nine grandchildren, Luke, Austin, Madison, Dustin, Damion, Landon, Brody, Kellby, and Karlie; four step grandchildren, Jadin, Kenzie, Addi, and Noah; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Turner will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, January 3, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Mike Chatham officiating. Interment will be in Providence Cemetery in State Line, MS.
