Mr. Wendell James Carlisle, 64, of Butler, AL passed from this life Friday, December 5, 2025, in Butler, AL. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Thursday, August 17, 1961, to Wendell and Kay Carlisle. He was a member of North Oak Grove Baptist Church. He worked as owner and operator of Carlisle Repair Shop in Gilbertown, AL.

Mr. Carlisle is survived by his parents, Wendell and Kay Carlisle of Aquilla, AL; son, Jacob Carlisle (Loretta); daughter, Mylissa Guy (Chad), both of Millry, AL; two brothers, Wayne Carlisle (Tammy) of Aquilla, AL and Jimmy Carlisle (Tami) of Newton, MS; sister, Shannon Carlisle Fincher (Matt) of Aquilla, AL; six grandchildren, Landen Carlisle, Elie Carlisle, Kierstyn Coaker, Natalie Guy, Jeremiah "JJ" Carlisle, and Gunner Coaker; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Carlisle will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Ken Beasley and Rev. Johnny Tucker officiating. Interment will be in Sandridge Cemetery in Millry, AL.
