Mr. Walter Franklin Williams, 87, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Friday, February 16, 2024, at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Wednesday, November 25, 1936, to the late Ford and Flora Williams. He was a member of Abundant Life Church. Mr. Williams served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Cold War. He retired as a road superintendent for W. C. Pitts Construction.

Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents, Ford and Flora Williams; three Sons-In-Law, Harold Pitts, Danice Davis, Brian Shirley; brother, Alfred Williams; sister, Virginia Melton. He is survived by his wife, Elowese Williams of Waynesboro, MS; son, Trent Williams (Dana) of Alabaster, AL; daughter, Lisa Pitts of Waynesboro, MS; step son, Keith Millican (Ruby) of Clara, MS; three step daughters, Vickey Davis, Kathy Canfield (Fred), Jeanette Shirley; sister, Polly Coleman, all of Waynesboro, MS; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Williams will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Dr. Andy Olson officiating. Interment will be in Waller Ridge Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
