Ms. Voncile V. Long, 82, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Monday, August 14, 2023, at Pine View Health and Rehabilitation in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Thursday, July 24, 1941, to the late Dewitt Talmadge Long, Sr. and Verda Pitts Long. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She retired in blanket repair at Sunbeam Corporation. Ms. Long is preceded in death by her parents, Dewitt Talmadge Long, Sr. and Verda Pitts Long; three brothers, Leo Long, Talmadge Long, Jr., Albert Long; four sisters, Mary Nell Prince, Pauline Foxworth, Myrtle Holcomb, Mattie McIlwain. She is survived by her daughter, Anna Beck (Roland); grandson, Shawn Beck (Emily), all of Clara, MS; five great grandchildren, Jada Beck, Jaron Beck, AnneLeigh Beck, Chesly Beck, and Dallen Beck; two sisters, Annie Griffith, Geneva Kelly; Sister-In-Law, Janet Long, all of Waynesboro, MS. Visitation for Ms. Long will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, August 18, 2023, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 18, 2023, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Tommy Davis officiating. Interment will be in West Shady Grove Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
