Mrs. Vivian Louise Ray, 79, of Biloxi, MS passed from this life Saturday, December 9, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Kosciusko, MS on Friday, June 9, 1944, to the late Franklin F. Edwards, Sr. and Louise Williams Edwards. She retired as a seamstress while working at numerous Clothing Factories. Mrs. Ray is preceded in death by her parents, Franklin F. Edwards, Sr. and Louise Williams Edwards; son, Jerry Shayne Ray; three brothers, Franklin F. Edwards, Jr., Robert E. Edwards, Gary D. Edwards. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Slade (Greg, Sr.); four grandchildren, Stacie Slade (Joey), Greg Slade, Jr. (CC), Dylan Slade, Cory Ray (Ashton); great grandchild, Harmonie Slade; two brothers, Charles Edwards (Martha), Terry Edwards (Charlotte); and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Ray will be held from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS 39367. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Christian Fellowship Cemetery, 259 Clara West Road, Waynesboro, MS 39367, with Rev. Len McRaney officiating. Interment will be in Christian Fellowship Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Salus Home Care and Traditions Hospice for their support and assistance during this sorrowful time.
