“Billie” (Daniels) Stadalis
May 15, 1933 – February 16, 2026
Mrs. Vivian J. "Billie" Stadalis, 92, a native and resident of Wayne County, Mississippi passed to her eternal reward on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Southern Living in Waynesboro. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Waynesboro where she taught Sunday school for many years. She retired from the Wayne County Health Department after many years of providing service to residents of the community. Her nursing career took off when she joined the United States Army and was stationed in South Korea. While in South Korea, she met a helicopter pilot/mechanic, Marty. After she completed two-years in the U.S. Army, the two married and made Waynesboro home.
Mrs. Stadalis is preceded in death by her mother, Katie Holland Daniels; father, Grover Cleve Daniels; 8 brothers, Ward Daniels, P.H. Daniels, Otho Daniels, Robert Daniels, Mason Daniels, Alfred Daniels, Frank Daniels, Jimmy Daniels, and sister Jeanett Scott. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Martin Stadalis of Waynesboro, 3 children, Joseph Stadalis (Molly) of Thibodaux, LA, Jeffery Stadalis of Bay St. Louis, MS, and Suzan Langley (Buddy) of Waynesboro, 7 grandchildren (Hannah, Evan, Kathryn, Cole, Quade, Madison, and Rylee), and two great-grandchildren (Ava and Lucy).
Visitation for Mrs. Stadalis will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Paul Harris officiating. Interment will be in Waynesboro Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS. The Stadalis family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Southern Living for all the wonderful care given over the past 4 years.
