Mrs. Virginia Elizabeth (Stewart) Wright, 77, of Millry, AL passed from this life Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Washington County Nursing Home in Chatom, AL. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, October 6, 1945 to the late James Augusta Stewart, Sr. and Lottie V Stewart. She was a homemaker, woman with great faith that always had a scripture to quote at any given time on any subject. She loved Jesus, her family and music. She instilled the gift of music in her children at an early age. She loved working and living on the farm and was the best Mother and Grandmother you could ever hope to have. Mrs. Wright is preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Wright, Sr.; parents, James Augusta Stewart, Sr. and Lottie V Stewart; brother, Jimmy Stewart; sister, Ouida Faye Ganus; granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Robertson. She is survived by her two sons, Lee Roy Wright, Jr. (Kristi), James Julius Wright; daughter, Leida Wright Robertson (William); sister, Linda Gail Phillips (Laymon); five grandsons, Tyler Wright (Kelsey), Ethan Wright (Harley), William D. Robertson, John Robertson, Connor Wright, all of Millry, AL; two granddaughters, Savannah Wright of Waynesboro, MS, Kaylee Wright; two great granddaughters, Raelyn Wright, Rylee Wright, all of Millry, AL; a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Wright will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Jimmie Butts officiating. Interment will be in Stewart Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Copeland, AL.
