Mrs. Virginia Stabler Copeland, 94, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Brookwood Villa Personal Care Home. She was born in Wayne County on Monday, August 20, 1928 to Samuel George Stabler and Georgia Stabler. She was a member of Clara First Baptist Church.  She worked as a Examination Specialist at United States Postal Service until her retirement. Mrs. Copeland is preceded in death by her father, Samuel George Stabler; mother, Georgia Stabler; son, Roy Edward Camp; four sisters, Hazel F. Thames, Edna "Billy" McCarty, Sammy Louise Stabler, Irma West. She is survived by her two sisters, Mildred T. Mizell, Buckatunna, MS, Georgia Faye Sheffield, Mobile, AL; granddaughter, Tammy Reidenbach; two Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Copeland will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, July 7, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 7, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Mitchell Smith officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery.
