Mr. Van Earl Strickland, 63, of Buckatunna, MS passed away Monday, April 10, 2023 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born in Waynesboro on Wednesday, November 18, 1959 to Van R. Strickland and Earline Strickland. He was a member of State Line First Baptist Church. He served in the United States National Guard and had worked as a Truck Driver. Mr. Strickland is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Gail Strickland. He is survived by his father, Van R. Strickland and mother, Earline Strickland, State Line, MS; two brothers, Robert Leon Strickland, La Porte, TX, Clarence Dwayne Strickland, Fernley, NV; three sisters, Patricia Crager, State Line, MS, Anita Davis, Matherville, MS, Rhonda Dyess, Buckatunna, MS. Visitation for Mr. Strickland will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Stevenson officiating. Interment will be in Johnson Creek Cemetery in State Line.
