Mr. Truman E. Williams, 89, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born in Coahoma County, MS on Wednesday, February 24, 1937, to the late Andrew J. and Coral Williams. He served in the United States Air Force over 20 years and was a Veteran of Vietnam. He retired as a President of Citizens National Bank in Waynesboro, MS. After retiring from the bank Mr. Williams served as the Veterans Officer for Wayne County.

   Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanette Williams; father, Andrew J. Williams; mother, Coral Williams; two brothers, Aubrey Williams and Bill Williams; two sisters, Imogene Draughn and Jerre Brewer. He is survived by his second wife, Mary E. Williams of Collins, MS; daughter, Karen Cochran; son, John E. Williams (Deana), all of Waynesboro, MS; brother, Hughie Williams (Ursula) of Augusta, GA; four grandchildren, Hunter Cochran, Holland Parker, Kaley Walters (Seth), and Landon Williams; two great grandchildren, Wyatt Walters and Bethany Ann Walters.

   Visitation for Mr. Williams will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, October 2, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Joshua Spiers and Rev. Owen King officiating. Interment will be in Boyles Chapel Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
