A funeral service for Tommy Reynolds, 84, of Columbus, GA will be conducted at 2:00 on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Rickey Williams officiating services. A viewing will be held by his loving family and friends on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Freeman Funeral Home. The beloved husband of Linda Merl Pitts, Tommy, was born in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, July 12, 1941, to the late J.R. Reynolds and Hattie Burgess. Tommy joined the U.S. Army in 1957, proudly serving in Vietnam and retiring on December 31, 1981, after more than 27 years of service to the nation. He worked as a Commercial Truck Driver until he retired, and then he continued to drive with Pediatria Health Care, supporting children with disabilities. He was preceded in death by Linda, his loving wife of 52 years, and his parents J.R. and Hattie Reynolds, his brothers William Rudolph and Ronnie. He is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Dan (Bridget), Tim, Mark (Simone) Schmitt and Tommy, Jr. Tommy and Linda had 11 grandchildren Shannon (Brad) Williamson, Amy Reed, Amanda Reynolds, Lori Panthofer, Michael (Jessi) Reynolds, Tim Reynolds, Hannaugh Reynolds, Jason Schmitt, Wayne Schmitt, Shelbey Haag (Kegan), Jules Reynolds; 11 great-grandchildren (Noah, Hannah, Riley, Eli, Laine, Spencer, Jasmine, Jeffrey, Violet, Adam, Elaine) and one great-great-grandchild (LJ). There are a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends in Columbus, GA and Waynesboro, MS.
