Mr. Toby D. Townsend, 55, of Quitman, MS passed from this life Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Ochsner Rush Medical Center in Meridian, MS. He was born in Meridian, MS on Thursday, July 30, 1970, to Elmer Dallas "Shorty" Townsend and Carolyn Dianne Deas. He worked as an Assistant Chief Engineer for Pine Bluff Sand & Gravel.

Mr. Townsend is preceded in death by his father, Elmer Dallas "Shorty" Townsend. He is survived by his wife, Michelle L. Townsend of Quitman, MS; mother, Carolyn Dianne Deas of Quitman, MS; four brothers, Dallas Derouen of Florence, MS, Darrell Townsend of Ft. Worth, TX, Kieffer Townsend, and Teddy Townsend, both of Meridian, MS; sister, Falon Deas of Ellisville, MS; stepchildren, Brandon King (Madison) and Amber Woods (Jacob), both of Waynesboro, MS; step grandchildren, Jayla, Coby, Rhett, and Stormi; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
