Mr. Thomas Ellis Rigney, 82, of Strengthford, MS passed from this life Thursday, February 16, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Wayne County, MS on Sunday, January 5, 1941 to Charles L. Rigney and Daisy Rigney. He was a member of Strengthford Church of God. He was retired as a Toolpusher in the Oil Field and was a Farmer. Mr. Tommy is preceded in death by father, Charles L. Rigney; mother, Daisy Rigney; three brothers, Landis Rigney, Charles Leonard Rigney, Charles Ellis Rigney; four sisters, Elizabeth Marcum, Daisy Marie McCary, Marion Cooper, Mildred Falks. He is survived by his wife, Duple Rigney, Strengthford, MS; three sons, Quintin Rigney (Brenda), Plantation, FL, Marcus L. Rigney (Regina), Philadelphia, MS, Paul Rigney (Selena), Strengthford, MS; daughter, Antoneia Rigney, Waynesboro, MS; ten grandchildren, Amber Cartwright (Matthew); April Whitaker (Zachary), Chele' Rigney, Chay Rigney, Adyn Rigney, Taylor Rigney, Laken Rigney; Michael Simmons (Brittany), Robin Bonner (Drake), Derrick Simmons (Elizabeth); nine great grandchildren, Madelyn Cartwright, Alexis Cartwright, Hope Cartwright, Emily Bonner, Maddie Bonner, Hunter Bonner, Mario Simmons, Skylar Simmons, Axel Simmons. Visitation for Mr. Tommy will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 20, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Marvin Griffin, Rev. Ronnie Adams, and Rev. Joel Ray officiating. Interment will be in Strengthford Church of God Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
