Ms. Teresa Jeanette Whidden, 62, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Laurel, MS on Wednesday, July 31, 1963, to Sherwin Delaine Holifield, Sr. and Celia Hickman.

Ms. Whidden is preceded in death by her parents, Sherwin Delaine Holifield, Sr. and Celia Hickman; brother, Sherwin Duan Holifield; half-brother, Sherwin Delaine Holifield, Jr.; sister, Angela Delaine Hickmon. She is survived by her brother, Scotty Hickman (Destinie) of Deer Park, AL; three sisters, Arlene Phillips of Laurel, MS, Michelle Smith (Mike) of Waynesboro, MS, and Celeta Goldman of Laurel, MS; two half-sisters, Casondra Davis (Bruce) of Laurel, MS and Melissa Solomon (Lemuel) of Sandersville, MS; a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Ms. Whidden will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 17, 2025, at Hickmon Hill Cemetery in Laurel, MS. Interment will be in Hickmon Hill Cemetery in Laurel, MS.
