Mr. Taylor Woodrow Huffman, 75, better known as Ted, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday morning, March 5, 2022. Ted was born on October 27, 1946 to Woodrow Huffman and Dean McIlwain Huffman in Quitman, MS. Ted enlisted and served in the United States Navy and was a Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He then worked and retired from Diamond Drilling Company. Ted was an active and loyal member of the following groups: The Sons of Confederate Veterans, Samuel H. Powe Camp #255, Sons of Confederate Veterans Motorcycle Club, and Jazzy Brothers Motorcycle Club, Nomad Chapter, Indianapolis, Indiana. Ted was preceded in death by his loving parents, Woodrow and Dean McIlwain Huffman and his brother, Butch Huffman. All who knew Ted knew of his love for all animals but especially Pup, Daisy, Mama Dog, and Tom the cat. They will certainly miss him much. Mr. Huffman is survived by his niece, Carrie Huffman Collins; nephew, Marty Huffman; great nephews and nieces, Woody Huffman, Anna Huffman, Paige Collins Jarmy; Maddie Collins, Luke Collins; one great-great niece, Ivey Jane Jarmy; a host of other family and friends. Visitation for Mr. Huffman will be held from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM, Friday, March 11, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 11, 2022 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Roger Douglas officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1710 Dyess Bridge Road, Waynesboro, MS, 39367.
