Mr. Styron Gray West, Jr., 74, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, December 28, 2023. He was born in Laurel, MS, on February 2, 1949, to Styron Gray West, Sr. and Rebecca Perkins West.

Gray earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1972 from the University of Mississippi. He started his career working alongside his father and continued to operate the family-owned Clanton Drug Store for many years. Gray continued his career as a pharmacist serving counties in Alabama and Mississippi until retiring in 2013.

He was an active member and elder of Waynesboro Presbyterian Church. Gray was a Historian, skilled chess player, and a devoted Ole Miss Rebels fan.

Gray is preceded in death by wife, Barbara Bailey West; father, Styron Gray West, Sr; mother, Rebecca Perkins West. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Tatum West; daughters Melanie West Harman (Reed) of Signal Mt., TN and Dana West Cooley (Scott) of Waynesboro, MS; sister, Judy West Hurt (Bill) of Houston, TX; and four grandchildren: David Harman, Kate Harman of Signal Mt, TN; Taylor Cooley and Caroline Cooley of Waynesboro, MS.

Visitation for Gray will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the Waynesboro Presbyterian Church. His services will be at the Church at 2:00 o'clock p.m. with Rev. Danny Ketchum officiating. Interment will be in the Waynesboro Cemetery.
