Mr. Stanley Vonnell Henderson, 71, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Sunday, August 16, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Tuesday, February 1, 1955, to the late William Vonnell Henderson and Nellie Grace Henderson. Mr. Henderson served his country for more than 20 years before retiring as a Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps.

   Mr. Henderson is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother, Steve Henderson of Lumberton, MS; two sisters, Sandy Agerton (Bill) of Mobile, AL and Sylvia Gilbert (John) of Laurel, MS; a host of nieces and nephews.

   Visitation for Mr. Henderson will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS 39367. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, August 20, 2026, at White House Cemetery, 11 Singleterry Road, Waynesboro, MS 39367 with Rev. Bo Farrior officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS. Pallbearers are - Bill Agerton, Rhyne Ferguson, Kyle Henderson, Randall Henderson, Matt Gilbert, and John Gilbert.
