Mrs. Shirley Ann Heap, 88, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Southern Living Specialty Care Residency in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Montgomery, LA on Friday, September 27, 1935, to the late David Owen and Lola Mae (Moore) Mitchell. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She retired as a cafeteria worker for Wayne County Public School System. Mrs. Heap is preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Harlis G. Martin; second husband, Dawan Everett Heap; parents, David Owen and Lola Mae (Moore) Mitchell; son, Gary Martin; two brothers, Billy Mitchell, Ray Mitchell; two sisters, Kathriene Nix, Loriene Rice. She is survived by her two sons, Ronnie Martin of Mobile, AL, Tim Martin (Anna) of Buckatunna, MS; two stepsons, Don Heap (Annie) of Shubuta, MS, Joe Heap (Kathy) of Huntington Beach, CA; two stepdaughters, Perian Lund (Paul Eric) of Odense, Denmark, Chellie Robinson (Mark) of Ben Wheeler, TX; Daughter-In-Law, Missy Dunlap (Sean) of Waynesboro, MS; Brother-In-Law, Ralph Martin (Nelda) of Odenville, AL; Sister-In-Law, Janet Crowe of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren, Ronald Glenn Martin (Holli), April Morris (Josh), Cody Martin (Amanda), Jonathan Martin (Logan), Jacob Martin (Dani), and Jordan Martin; 7 step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Heap will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Tim Martin and Rev. Mark Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
