Mrs. Sherry Jean Harrison Chancellor, 67, of Laurel, MS passed from this life Monday, April 14, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Laurel, MS on Wednesday, July 31, 1957, to the late Arthur L. Harrison and Myrtle Busby Harrison. Mrs. Harrison is preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle Busby and Arthur L. Harrison. She is survived by her husband, James "Chester" Chancellor, Jr.; two brothers, Sherman E. Harrison (Wanda) and James Troy Harrison (Beverly); sister, Margaret Myrick (Eddie), all of Laurel, MS; six nieces and nephews, Steven Harrison, Tony Harrison, David Harrison, Jason Harrison, Lynn Harrison, and Terri White; eleven great nieces and nephews; seven great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Harrison will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 18, 2025, at Shirley Place Cemetery in Wayne County, MS with Rev. Bill Myers officiating. Interment will be in Shirley Place Cemetery in Wayne County, MS. Pallbearers are James Troy Harrison, Tony Harrison, Blake Taylor, Steven Harrison, David Harrison, and Jason Harrison.
