Sgt. Randy Leon Stone, 62, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Shreveport, LA on Thursday, August 16, 1962, to Lester Leon "Bubba" Stone and Joann Allison. Sgt. Stone served 6 years in the United States Navy and 17 years in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Cold War, Desert Storm, and the Iraq War. He retired as a generator mechanic in the United States Army. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends sitting around grilling and having cookouts. He was an avid fisher, loved being PawPaw, and making people laugh.

Sgt. Stone is preceded in death by his father, Lester Leon "Bubba" Stone. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Robin Stone; mother, Joann Allison; three sons, Randall Whitney Stone, Corey Anthony Riggio, Marcus Joseph Stone; two daughters, Courtney Amber Blue (Robbee), Clair Marie Stone; two brothers, Richard Stone (Dana), George "To-Jo" Pendarvis; two sisters, Joyce Bush, Patricia Stone; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation for Sgt. Stone will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, August 26, 2024, at Stone-Blue Cemetery, 731 Winchester Crossroad, Waynesboro, MS 39367 with Rev. Marvin Griffin officiating. Interment will be in Stone-Blue Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
