Mrs. Scottie Leggett Boyd, 89, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Southern Living Specialty Care Residency in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Waynesboro on Thursday, June 20, 1935 to Hardy Lee Leggett and Annie P. Leggett. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesboro and the Order of the Eastern Star. She retired as Financial Officer in the banking industry. Scottie is preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Boyd, Jr.; father, Hardy Lee Leggett; mother, Annie P. Leggett; sister, Joan Moll. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Whigham (Michael); son, Joey Williams (Emily); daughter, Kaye Cochran (Billy); son, Mark Williams; daughter, Lori Haas (Bob); 11 grandchildren, Ryan Whigham, Justin Whigham, Matt Whigham, Chase Cochran, K. C. Cochran, Jeremy Cochran, Chris Williams, Clay Williams, Robert Haas, Gracyn Haas, Shelby Graham; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Charles Leggett; 3 special nephews, Geary Jackson, Cooper Leggett, Brant Moll. Visitation for Scottie will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Dr. Steve Smith officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS. Pallbearers are Ryan Whigham, Justin Whigham, Matt Whigham, Robert Haas, K. C. Cochran, Clay Williams, Jeremy Cochran, Chase Cochran, Chris Williams.
