Mr. Sam Pitts, 70, a native of Wayne County and resident of Shubuta, MS died Monday, March 1, 2010 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. He was of Baptist Faith and has worked as a Motorman in the Oil Field. Mr. Pitts is survived by his Daughter, Janet Wilson (Wayne) of Shubuta; Son, Sammy Wayne Pitts of Waynesboro; Sister, Jewel Jordan of Waynesboro; Brother, Berry Paul Pitts of Waynesboro; 3 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. Visitation for Mr. Pitts will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home of Waynesboro. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 4, 2010 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home of Waynesboro with Rev. Jim Riley and Rev. Joe Holder officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery, Waynesboro, MS.
