Mr. Darrell Garris, 77, of State Line, MS passed from this life Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS surrounded by his loving family. He was born in State Line, MS on Tuesday, October 26, 1948, to the late Chester Elie Garris and Bernice Elizabeth Garris. He was a member of First Baptist Church of State Line. He retired as a Chipping Supervisor at Kimberly-Clark Corporation.

Mr. Garris is preceded in death by his parents, Chester Elie Garris and Bernice Elizabeth Garris; brother, Wendell Wayne Garris; great grandson, Asher Knox Deese. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Thelma Garris; son, Ronnie "Fred" Garris, both of State Line, MS; two daughters, Angie Sullivan (Frank) of Waynesboro, MS and Nancy Deese of State Line, MS; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; two close friends, Roy Guy and Addison Leverette, Jr.; two special cousins, Bill "Popsicle" Preston and Bobby Price.

Visitation for Mr. Garris will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday, February 23, 2026, at State Line First Baptist Church, 250 St. Peter Street State Line, MS 39362. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at State Line First Baptist Church in State Line, MS with Rev. Tommy Ezell and Rev. Mike Street officiating. Interment will be in Garris Family Cemetery, 50802 Highway 57 South State Line, MS 39362.
